Ghyll Bank Byre Villa - Staveley (Cumbria)

We stayed at this beautiful converted barn property for a few days and it was perfect. The property had plenty of space and excellent facilities, including a large lounge with access to a lovely patio area outside. The kitchen/dining area was spacious and well-equipped, with a nice big range cooker. Each of the three bedrooms had their own en-suite, which was really convenient. The free wi-fi was a bonus. The views from the property were simply amazing, and we enjoyed being surrounded by the idyllic countryside. The caretaker was kind and helpful, ensuring we had a smooth check-in and checking in on us the next morning. The location of the property was ideal, as it was away from the busy roads but only a short car ride to Windermere and Ambleside. we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Ghyll Bank Byre.

Very nice cottage tucked away above a village, great views, clean and comfortable, well-furnished kitchen. Easy drive to nearby towns. We loved our mini break.

The property had everything we needed, including a large kitchen and free wi-fi. The location was perfect, with easy access to Windermere and Ambleside.

Miscommunication with payment.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, with easy access to nearby attractions such as Windermere Ferry and Orrest Head. We had a blast exploring the area!

Limited privacy in the shared garden area.

Tucked away cottage, great for 6-7 adults. Easy to follow instructions, clean and comfortable with adequate furnishings. Convenient location for exploring Windermere, Kendal, and the South Lakes. Loved the views and our mini break. 😊

This converted barn property is mind-blowingly beautiful! The space is super spacious, with excellent facilities. The large lounge has access to a jaw-dropping patio area, and the kitchen/dining area with the nice big range cooker is just wow! The three bedrooms, each with their own en-suite, are top-notch. And don't even get me started on the amazing views all around. The caretaker was the best, giving us the combination for the keylock safe and making sure we were happy. The location is in the most idyllic countryside, with plenty of space for kids to play. And the best part? It's only 10 mins by car to Windermere and 20 mins to Ambleside. Free wi-fi, pets allowed, and no smoking on site. Our stay was absolutely fabulous!
